An offshoot of this new lodge's emphasis on quality is an attempt at cohesive and well-rendered branding. This is exhibited by the lodge logo and its use on monthly summonses, letterhead, and event programs. The lodge also has made an official tie, the first of several planned items of clothing and accessories, with several others 'in the works.' This discussion thread is intended to corral a discussion on the benefit of this branding.
Member, Bro. Shane Wendt has been instrumental in designing these items. We're convinced that any lodge ought to consider its own logo'ed shirt or tie as a way of exhibiting member pride, and as a low-key fundraiser.
I can't thank Bro. Shane Wendt enough for his work on our logo, Masons' mark, and printed materials. These have been a big factor in the impression we provide to prospective members. These graphics will echo back to us in renewed pride, and an image of quality that will help build, and retain members.
We have chosen two logos, one for full color letterhead and wearables, and the other a more simple 'Mason's Mark' that hearkens back to the venerable East India Company, a vibrant concern in Churchill's day. View these logos on our home page.
A third design, our lodge's seal, is derived from the former, and is not reproduced here.
Another logo you might like is for our new Shrine unit, the Chairmen. This one is kind of fun. See it at the bottom of the Churchill Lodge Documents page...
