Meetings are held monthly, on the third or fourth Friday of the month. Contact the lodge Secretary, Wor. Gordon Creese, for information, or see the Events page for upcoming meeting dates.
Churchill Lodge has historically gathered at members' homes eight months out of the year, reserving lodge hall space for the other four meetings. Three of these are "Quarterlies" that are held at Twin Cities area lodge halls, and one is our formal Annual Meeting in November. Quarterlies are NOT official business meetings, so are technically 'dark' according to the Minnesota Code. Yet we use these opportunities to open on the British Work and enjoy a lively discussion and educational program. The meeting portion is tiled (limited to Masons-only) and the discussion and dinner afterward is open to non-Masons. Of course, any degree work is held at an appropriate lodge hall. Our home-meeting hosts typically provide a meal, while members will bring their favorite liquid refreshment for after the meeting. Quarterly meetings are followed by an entertaining Festive Board. This dinner follows the British fashion, with five toasts, plus several impromptu Master's toasts and responses. Some members will enjoy a cigar during the afterglow and discussion time, weather and location permitting. Guests are warmly welcomed.
